OUR STORY

Buck The Stigma is a lifestyle brand for horse girlies, founded by a horse girly. Founded in 2023, Buck The Stigma set out to create community and raise awareness around mental health in the western horse industry. A few years later, Buck The Stigma has grown into a praised apparel brand sharing resources and sparking the conversation surrounding the ups and downs of rodeo, competition, and simply life as a horse lover. From cozy loungewear to recognizable apparel, Buck The Stigma makes it easier to wear your values and support a passionate cause.

OUR COMMUNITY

Just as Buck The Stigma inspires others to wear their values, we’re constantly inspired by you, because you are an integral part of our community! We often share design ideas, ask for your opinion, and conduct Q&As and polls on our socials that help directly determine what product we launch next. We love hearing about your struggles as a horse girly and want your stories to be told! Just as you support us, supporting you is always our number one priority. Whether it be through podcast and book recommendations, wellness tips, or hilarious relatability, we want to give you more than just clothes! Buck The Stigma has become a place you can go for more than just a cute hoodie.

OUR FOUNDER

Devin Bang (26) is the founder and creator of Buck The Stigma. Though her roots in the horse world did not take form until age six, she considers the western industry to be a community that has shaped her. Constantly inspired by her experiences and interactions with other competitors, trainers, owners and friends in rodeo, the idea of Buck The Stigma was sparked not only from her own deep struggle with anxiety and depression, but from others’ struggle as well. After years of feeling alone, she realized the issue of mental health was not properly represented and took the leap to start her own business.

A NOTE FROM DEVIN

When this brand was only an idea in my mind, I never could have guessed the community it would form into. I remember being nervous (genuine anxious horse girl behavior) as to how Buck The Stigma would be received, but I have since been blown away by the outpouring of love and encouragement. I thank you all from the bottom of my <3.
